Natalie Massenet, the founder of net-a-porter, has been a huge inspiration to me because she is such a visionary. Jenna Lyons said it best when describing Natalie, "the word visionary is lofty, overused. Somewhat abused. There are a few people who can really see something that doesn't exist. Create it. Explain it. And get others to follow". Today we take for granted our ability to access any fashionable item online but it was indeed Natalie who saw the market for it and was the first one to do it. She bridged womens' dreams with reality by bringing the runway to their doorway in a few shipping days. She is a constant inspiration to me as a fashion icon and more importantly an entrepreneur who believes in hard work and creative visualization, both of which I strongly believe in. We both love Shakti Gawain's book "Creative Visualization". One of my favorite quotes of hers: "My personal ambition remains the same - to be creative, to be modern, to stay one step ahead, to enjoy life. I've learned to take nothing for granted because the rules are changing all the time."
