One of my bucket list items when I moved to Los Angeles was to visit the Temecula wine country. I love sipping wine while surrounded with beautiful nature and of course great conversations with friends. A friend of mine and I set out to visit two wineries in Temecula, the Wilson Creek Winery and the Ponte Winery. Both are very beautiful wineries and the top two to visit if you have never been to Temecula. Finding what to wear to wine tasting was a fun project. Here is our inspiration:
We wanted to do a mix of countryside with old glamour that is mostly inspired by Hitchcock and Jean Luc Godard films. The women in Hitchcock movies had such elegant, sophisticated, and feminine style and at the same time subtleties of darkness and seduction. We also received some sample watches from Daniel Wellington and were excited to pair these classic pieces with our wine country outfits.
What We Wore
Alma: I am wearing the Michael Kors Kew Garden dress. I added black accessories: small belt, black leather wedges, and a Daniel Wellington watch. I wore this dress to a garden wedding before and thought it would be fun to wear to wine-tasting. This dress also pairs well with brown accessories. I love the fun color and print.
Azra: I picked an H&M dress with textured fabric and a faux leather belt (faux leather belts always add a strong point of view to a classy feminine piece). I love wearing black tights with dresses despite the fact that nobody else seems to anymore. To me, it adds class and gives a usually feminine piece a dark and demure seduction. For my accessories I chose my favorite Daniel Wellington watch, the Classic Bristol Lady. The dark brown strap compliments dark blue colors nicely. It’s also a classic watch with a masculine quality that adds some toughness and sophistication. I also wore a dark plum lipstick by YSL.
